For our boudoir photo shoot, I wanted Adrianna to feel like a queen for the day.
That she was my priority with the full focus of our attention.
In her ordinary life, Adrianna’s full focus and attention is on her child with special needs.
Speaking for myself, I know how tough that can be. When my kids were small, each had their unique challenges that demanded all of my focus and energy, leaving nothing for myself.
Sometimes, I’d feel ashamed for wanting someone to give me their focus and for also not wanting to neglect myself.
I’d feel guilty I wanted to feel as if I was more than a parent, a caretaker, that I am still a man.
Vivian had felt the same in the past. In raising her children, at some point she’d lost sight that she was more than a mom – she was still a woman.
It’s with this sense in mind that we approached our boudoir photo shoot with Adrianna. We catered to her every need.
My full focus was on Adrianna.
I think we succeeded in showing just how much her inner strength makes her that much more beautiful. It shows in the way it comes through her eyes and shapes the poise of her body.
