Blog post on Lesley Pedersen's boudoir session with Eduardo Vega Colon & Vivian Fonseca at the Sekrit Theater in East Austin, Texas.
We were finally able to hold our boudoir photoshoot at Sekrit Theater in Austin.
I met Lesley a year ago.
At the time Lesley was a voice actress looking to branch out into other creative fields. According to her Instagram profile she chose to start modeling in her 40s, “Because why not.” I love the sentiment behind the statement, “Because why not?” In the year I’ve known Lesley she has been busy, not only with her regular job but also with the modeling and her Instagram profile is testament to the amount of quality work she’s put in.
We’ve always wanted to work with each other but she’s based in Austin and I’m in Houston.
Our workload had never allowed for us to sync up until recently.
Vivian and I met Lesley at Sekrit Theater in East Austin. We shared with her how grateful we were in her posing for us, that the work from our session was going to be used for marketing our studio’s boudoir brand across social media as opposed to using images taken from paid client sessions. A feature of our boudoir photography services is discretion; our clients can take comfort in knowing their pictures will not end up on the internet. On the other hand, in the year since Lesley has started modeling I’ve witnessed a woman who has transformed from someone who wanted to add more creative work to her life and was not certain she was able to pull it off to a woman who doesn’t care, who is comfortable in her body, and that confidence is what makes her that much more beautiful to not only to me and Vivian but to everyone who follows her work.
Lesley’s confidence and joy shines through in every image created in our session and it shows in the select shots we’ve made available.
Vivian and I want to note that the temperature at the time of our session was in the high 90s and inside the bus it was easily above 100 degrees.
Despite that, look at how Lesley killed it. Lesley is no different from any other woman; she has the same challenges and wrestles with the same feelings.
The difference I believe is her fearlessness when it comes to embracing herself. Vivian and I believe every woman out there is capable of doing the same if she gives herself the chance. Contact us if you want to become fearless.
